Title: Junior Data Analyst/Python Developer
Location: NYC, Hartford, Chicago, TX, and NC
You will be working with Capgemini’s Banking and Insurance clients for developing, testing and maintaining business applications after initial training program. During the training program, you will be trained to enhance your relevant programming, delivery and consultative skills to be successful in your role.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to quickly understand client needs, develop solutions, and present findings to client executives.
- Provide data-driven recommendations and solutions to clients by clearly articulating complex technical concepts through generation and delivery of presentations.
- Use industry expertise and data science experience to uncover new opportunities with clients’ data.
- Generate business insights through data analysis and modeling.
- Identify innovative ideas and proof of concepts to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.
- Utilize historical trends and predictive models to forecast outcomes.
- Draw conclusions by making recommendations for developing or modifying analysis strategies with little or no supervision.
- Generate ad-hoc reports and continue enhancing standard reports.
- Perform EDA and feature engineering to both inform the development of statistical models and improve model performance and flexibility.
- Work with global teams to drive client engagements in a broad range of industries; design and build scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions to solve business problems and create value by leveraging client data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field.
- 1 year industry experience from co-op, internships, and summer, with work in a quant or data scientist field preferred.
- Good customer facing, business communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, Unix, SAS, R, Hive, Python, Scala, Spark in a big data environment to build, test, evaluate, and maintain robust data analysis and models (experience with machine learning tools, and/or Open Source tools such as R and Python required).
- Aptitude for analytical concepts; great attitude and work ethic.
